BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the invention
[0001] Embodiments for implementing the invention relate to a timepiece dial and a timepiece.
2. Description of the prior art
[0002] In the prior art, decorative elements and a timepiece equipped with a decorative element are known; this is disclosed for example in patent document JP-A-11-281765. According to the described decoration element, a base layer made of white material is formed on a surface of a metal dial, a phosphor layer containing phosphorescent material (phosphorescent fluorescent element) is formed on a surface of the layer base, and a coating layer made of transparent acrylic resin is formed on a surface of a phosphorescent layer.
[0003] However, it is possible to use a translucent material at the level of an external part of a timepiece dial. In the case where the outer part has a single-layer type configuration and a phosphor coating is applied to a front surface or a back surface of the outer part as in the aforementioned prior art, a base color tone of the front phosphor coating a light emission appears directly, and it is probable that the presence of a phosphorescent function is recognizable at sight in a luminous place. Also, it is likely that, since an original texture of the outer part is lost due to the application of the phosphorescent coating, the color tone in a bright place is limited. Further, it is probable that since a light emitting color of the phosphor coating changes under the influence of a display panel, such a light emitting color of the phosphor coating is limited. Therefore, if the phosphorescent coating is applied to the front surface or the back surface of the translucent single-layer outer part, there may be concern that the decorative properties and expressions are depleted.
ABSTRACT
An aim of the embodiments of the invention is to promote the expression of a color tone of an external part of a dial provided with a phosphorescent function, and to render the presence of the phosphorescent function undetectable in a bright place, in view of the above considerations.
[0005] According to a first aspect, the timepiece dial according to the invention comprises: a base element; an outer part which is arranged on the base member, having a laminated body formed of a plurality of layers, and is translucent; and a phosphorescent material which is disposed on a rear surface of the outer part of the side of the base member.
[0006] Since the outer part includes the laminated body of the plurality of layers in the timepiece dial, a minute color phase of the phosphorescent material disposed on the back surface of the outer part is unlikely to appear on the face. frontal surface of the outer part. Therefore, it is possible to promote the expression of an original color tone of the outer part and to signal the presence of the undetectable phosphorescent function in a bright place.
[0007] According to a second aspect, the thickness of the outer part changes as a function of the position on the timepiece dial according to the first aspect.
Since the thickness of the outer part changes depending on the position on the dial of the timepiece, the translucency of the outer part changes depending on the position. Therefore, it is possible to visually express that the brightness and a light emitting color tone of the phosphor material can be caused to change in a dark place.
[0009] According to a third aspect, the timepiece dial according to the first aspect or the second aspect comprises: a first translucent decorative portion arranged on a front surface of the outer part.
According to the proposed timepiece dial, it is possible to improve the decorative properties of the external part by using the first translucent decorative portion and to allow the emission of light from the phosphorescent material via the first decorative portion. Therefore, it is possible to improve the possibilities of expansion in decoration.
[0011] According to a fourth aspect, the translucency of the first decorative portion changes depending on the position on the dial of a timepiece according to the third aspect.
According to a fifth aspect, the timepiece dial according to one of the first to the fourth aspects comprises: a second opaque decorative portion arranged on at least one surface among the rear surface and the front surface of the outer part.
[0013] According to such a timepiece dial, it is possible to make the presence of the phosphorescent material undetectable vis-à-vis the second decorative portion undetectable in a bright place and to limit the light emission area of the phosphorescent material using the second decorative portion via its opacity properties, and to allow a rendering which is different from what the timepiece dial looks like in a bright place when the phosphorescent material emits light in a dark place. Therefore, it is possible to further improve the decorative properties of the outer part.
[0014] According to a sixth aspect, the timepiece dial comprises: a base element; an outer part which is arranged on the base member, having a laminated body formed of a plurality of layers, and is translucent; and a phosphorescent material which is disposed between the base member and the outer part.
Since the outer part comprises the laminated body formed of a plurality of layers in such a timepiece dial, a minute color phase of the phosphorescent material disposed between the base element and the outer part is not not likely to appear on the frontal surface of the outer part. Therefore, it is possible to promote the expression of an original color tone of the outer part, and to make the presence of the phosphorescent function undetectable in a bright place. Also, the phosphorescent material may or may not be in contact with the outer part. Further, the phosphorescent material may or may not be in contact with the base member.
According to a seventh aspect, a timepiece is proposed comprising the timepiece dial according to one of the first to sixth aspects.
[0017] Thanks to the proposed timepiece, it is possible to improve the expression and the decorative properties of the dial for a timepiece, and consequently to improve the value of the product.
According to the embodiments of the invention, it is possible to promote the expression of a color tone of the outer part of the dial provided with a phosphorescent function, and to make the presence of the phosphorescent function impossible. to be detected in a bright place.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS
[0020] Hereinafter, embodiments of the invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[First embodiment]
In Figure 1, a timepiece dial 10 according to one embodiment comprises a base member 12, an outer part 14, and a phosphorescent material 16.
The base member 12 is configured in the form of a plate, for example, and may have different shapes such as a circular shape, an oval shape, a square shape, and a barrel shape in accordance with the shape of the timepiece dial 10. As the material for the base member 12, a metal or a resin, for example, is used. Although a complete illustration including timepiece movement 100 is not provided in this figure, the base member 12 is disposed on such a movement (see Figure 10).
The outer part 14 is arranged on an area partially or entirely covering the base element 12; it comprises a laminated body formed of a plurality of layers, and is translucent. As the material for the laminated body, seashells, marble, ceramics, or the like are used. The thickness of the outer part 14 is constant and is about 0.1 mm, for example. The thickness changes as needed appropriately to adjust the translucency of the outer part 14 and adjust the color tone of the outer part 14.
The phosphorescent material 16 is disposed on the rear surface 14B of the outer part 14 on the side of the base member 12. The phosphorescent material 16 is formed by applying a phosphorescent coating to the rear surface 14B of the outer part 14 The phosphorescent material 16 is a component represented by MAl2O4, and a metal element represented by M is a phosphorescent fluorescent element which contains as a parent crystal a component of strontium (Sr), magnesium (Mg) and barium (Ba), contains europium (Eu) as an activating agent, and contains dysprosium (Dy) as a coactivating agent.
(Technical effects)
Since the outer part 14 comprises the laminated body composed of a plurality of layers, and the light cannot pass directly through them compared to the case where the outer part comprises a transparent body formed of a single layer, a minute color phase of the phosphorescent material 16 disposed on the rear surface 14B of the outer part 14 probably does not appear on the front surface 14A of the outer part 14 according to this embodiment. Therefore, it is possible to promote the expression of an original color tone of the outer part 14 and make the presence of the phosphorescent function undetectable in a bright place.
[Second embodiment]
In an outer part 14 in a timepiece dial 20 according to an embodiment corresponding to illustrated in Figure 2, the thickness of the outer part 14 changes depending on the position on the dial defined in the first embodiment. In the example illustrated in the drawing, the thickness of the outer part 14 increases gradually and linearly from left to right. The change in thickness is however not limited to such a configuration, and the thickness could for example increase by following for example a quadratic curve. On the other hand, a structure in which the thickness of the outer part 14 increases and decreases periodically, for example, could also be employed by providing etching grooves or the like in the outer part 14, for example.
(Technical effects)
Since the thickness of the outer part 14 changes depending on the position, the translucency of the outer part 14 changes depending on the position according to this embodiment. In this way, it is possible to make a visual expression that the brightness and the light emitting color tone of the outer part 14 are caused to change depending on the position when the phosphorescent material 16 emits light in a. dark place.
Since the other parts are similar to those of the first embodiment, the same reference numerals will be given to the same parts of the drawings, and their descriptions will not be repeated.
[Third embodiment]
In a timepiece dial 30 according to one embodiment as illustrated in Figure 3, a first translucent decorative portion 21 is arranged on a front surface 14A of the outer part 14. The first decorative portion 21 is formed by means such as printing, coating or depositing on the front surface 14A of the outer part 14. The first decorative portion 21 may be formed by a groove or the like made by engraving or the like on the front surface 14A of the outer part 14. In this embodiment, the first decorative portion 21 is formed so as to have a uniform thickness and density.
(Technical effects)
In this embodiment, it is possible to improve the decorative properties of the outer part 14 by using the first translucent decorative portion 21 and to allow the emission of light from the phosphorescent material 16 through the first decorative portion 21 In the case where the light from the phosphorescent material 16 passes through the outer part 14 and the first decorative portion 21, the way in which the light is emitted from the front surface 14A of the outer part 14 is different from that corresponding to the case where the light only passes through the outer part 14. Therefore, it is possible to improve the possibilities of extending the decoration.
Since the other parts are similar to those of the first embodiment, the same reference numerals will be given to the same parts in the drawings, and their description will not be repeated.
[Fourth embodiment]
In a timepiece dial 40 according to one embodiment as illustrated in Figure 4, the translucency of the first decorative portion 21 changes depending on the position as defined in the third embodiment. In the example illustrated in the drawing, the thickness of the first decorative portion 21 in the right zone is double the thickness in the left zone, each of the zones being evenly distributed on the dial. In order to cause a change in translucency of the first decorative portion 21, the density of the first decorative portion 21 may be caused to change depending on the position.
(Technical effects)
Since the translucency of the first decorative portion 21 changes depending on the position, it is possible to cause the brightness and the color tone of the light emission of the phosphor material 16 to change depending on the position. in a dark place according to this embodiment. Furthermore, it is thus possible to express a gradation, a pattern or the like.
[0034] Since the other parts are similar to those of the first embodiment or the third embodiment, the same reference numerals will be given to the same parts in the drawings, and their description will not be repeated.
[Fifth embodiment]
In a timepiece dial 50 according to the embodiment as illustrated in Figure 5, a second opaque decorative portion 22 is provided on a rear surface 14B of the outer part 14 defined in the first embodiment. production. The second decorative portion 22 is formed by means such as printing, coating or deposition made on the external part 14. In this embodiment, the second decorative portion 22 is disposed partially near the center of the rear surface 14B. of the outer part 14. The phosphorescent material 16 is disposed on the rear surface 14B of the outer part 14, including the rear side of the second decorative portion 22. In other words, the phosphorescent material 16 is arranged so as to overlap the second portion. decorative 22. Furthermore, the second decorative portion 22 could be arranged on the front surface 14A of the external part 14 or could be arranged on the front surface 14A and on the rear surface 14B of the external part 14.
(Technical effects)
In this embodiment, it is possible to make the presence of the phosphorescent material 16 undetectable vis-à-vis the second decorative portion 22 in a bright place, similar to the first embodiment, and to limit the area of 'emitting light from the phosphorescent material 16 using the second decorative portion 22 with opacity properties, i.e. blocking of light, and allowing the expression of a visual rendering which is different from what the timepiece dial looks like in a bright place when the phosphorescent material 16 emits light in a dark place. In the example illustrated in Figure 5, since the second decorative portion 22 is disposed partially near the center of the rear surface 14B of the outer portion 14, the light emitted from the phosphorescent material 16 is blocked at the portion of the second decorative portion 22. Therefore, the central area where the second decorative portion 22 is present appears relatively dark at the front surface 14A of the outer portion 14 when the phosphor material 16 emits light at a dark location. In this way, it is possible to further improve the decorative properties of the outer part 14 in a dark place according to this embodiment.
Since the other parts are similar to those of the first embodiment, the same reference numerals will be given to the same parts in the drawings, and their description will not be repeated.
[Sixth embodiment]
In a timepiece dial 60 according to one embodiment as illustrated in FIG. 6, a second decorative portion 22 is provided in a right side zone of the rear surface 14B of the external part 14 such that described in the context of the fifth embodiment.
(Technical effects)
In this embodiment, since the second decorative portion 22 is arranged in a right side area on the rear surface 14B of the outer part 14, the light emitted from the phosphorescent material 16 is blocked at a part of the second decorative portion 22. Therefore, the right side area where the second decorative portion 22 is present appears relatively darker at the front surface 14A of the outer portion 14 when the phosphor material 16 emits light in a dark place. . In this way, it is possible to further improve the decorative properties of the outer part 14 according to this embodiment.
Since the other parts are similar to those of the first embodiment or the fifth embodiment, the same reference numerals will be given to the same parts in the drawings, and their description will not be repeated.
[Seventh embodiment]
In a timepiece dial 70 according to one embodiment as illustrated in Figure 7, the outer part 14 is arranged on a base member 12, which has a hole 18 formed inside this one. A phosphor material 16 is disposed on the rear surface 14B of the outer part 14 in the hole 18 provided in the base member 12. Although the thickness of the base member 12 is the same as that of the phosphor material 16 in the example illustrated in the drawing, the thickness of the phosphorescent material 16 could be thinner than that of the base element 12.
(Technical effects)
[0042] In this embodiment, since the outer part 14 is formed from a laminated body of a plurality of layers similar to the first embodiment, it is possible to promote the expression of a color tone of the external part in the dial provided with a phosphorescent function in a bright place, and to make the presence of the phosphorescent function undetectable. On the other hand, since the portion where the phosphorescent material 16 is present emits light in a dark place, it is possible to achieve a different expression depending on whether one is in a bright place or in a dark place.
[Examples]
FIG. 8 illustrates what the timepiece dial 10 looks like of a timepiece 100 to which the timepiece dial 10 according to the first embodiment is applied, when it is seen in a dark place. In the timepiece 100, for example a 24 hour hand, a 26 minute hand, a 28 seconds hand, two small hands 32, and a hand which displays the power reserve 34 indicating a state of winding of the spring. , are provided. The outer part 14 is configured in the form of an arc along a scale 35 in order to display the power reserve on the dial of the timepiece 10. As illustrated in FIG. 1, the phosphorescent material 16 is arranged. on the rear surface 14B of the outer part 14. However, since the outer part 14 is formed of a laminated body, a minute color phase of the phosphorescent material 16 is unlikely to appear on the front surface 14A (Fig. 1) of. the outer part 14, and the presence of the phosphorescent function is not detectable in a bright place. Therefore, it becomes easy to express a color tone of the outer part 14 in a bright place. However, at the same time, since all of the outer part 14 seems to emit light in a dark place, it is possible to achieve an expression different from that which is rendered visually in a bright place.
FIG. 9 illustrates what the timepiece dial 20 looks like of a timepiece 100 to which a timepiece dial 20 according to the second embodiment is applied, when it is seen in a dark place. The arrangement of the hour hand 24 and the like is similar to that of the example shown in Fig. 8. In this example, the thickness of the arcuate outer portion 14 gradually increases in the opposite direction of the clock. Clockwise. In this way, the outer part 14 seems to emit light gradually in a dark place. However, at the same time, the outer part 14 appears uniform when viewed in a bright place.
[0045] Fig. 10 illustrates what a timepiece dial 40 of a timepiece 100 to which a timepiece dial 40 according to the fourth embodiment is applied looks like when viewed. in a dark place. Fig. 10 not only illustrates the timepiece dial 40 but also a body 36 and a bracelet 37. As the hands, only an hour hand 24 and a minute hand 26 are provided in the illustrated example. Although the outer part 14 is shown between the central axis of the 24 hour hand and the six o'clock position in Figure 10, the outer part 14 is arranged to cover the entire surface of the coin dial. timepiece 40. The first decorative portion 21 has a geometric pattern, for example, and specifically, a hexagonal line and straight lines or the like extending radially from the center of the hexagonal shape are combined. Such a first decorative portion 21 is formed of grooves or the like provided by performing an engraving or the like on the surface of the outer part 14, for example.
In this example, the colors of the first decorative portion 21 and of the phosphorescent material 16 (Figure 4) do not appear on the front surface 14A (Figure 4) of the outer part 14, and the presence of the phosphorescent function is not detectable vis-à-vis the first decorative portion 21 in a bright place. However, at the same time, the first decorative portion 21 appears as if it is floating in a dark place due to the emission of light from the phosphorescent material 16. Although the first decorative portion 21 and the outer portion 14 are translucent, what the outer part 14 looks like changes between a part where the first decorative portion 21 is present and a part where no such first decorative portion 21 is present, since the first decorative portion 21 overlaps the outer part 14. Therefore, it is possible to improve the decorative properties.
Fig. 11A illustrates what the timepiece dial 50 or 60 of a timepiece 100 to which a timepiece dial 50 or 60 according to the fifth embodiment or the sixth embodiment of achievement is applied looks like when viewed in a dark place. As the hands, a 24 hour hand, a 26 minute hand and a 28 seconds hand are provided. In this example, the outer part 14 is arranged as a plurality of portions provided at each scale from one hour to three o'clock, and five o'clock to twelve o'clock. At the four o'clock portion of the scale, a date display window 42, for example, is provided.
In this example, a second opaque decorative portion 22 is provided to overlap the outer part 14 along the edge of each outer part 14. As illustrated in Figure 11B, minute color phases of the second decorative portion 22 and phosphorescent material 16 (Figures 5 and 6) do not appear on the front surface 14A (Figures 5 and 6) in front of the outer part 14 in a bright place, and the presence of the phosphorescent function is not not detectable vis-à-vis the second decorative portion 22 in a bright place. However, at the same time, although the outer part 14 appears to emit light due to the emission of light from the phosphor material 16 in a dark place as shown in Figs. 11A and 11C, the light is blocked at the portion. of the second decorative portion 22 because of its opacity properties. In this way, the outer part 14 appears as if it has a black border. Since the edge, which is not noticeable in a bright place, is perceived as if it is floating in a dark place, the decorative properties of the outer part 14 are further improved.
In this way, it is possible to improve the value of the product of the timepiece 100 by improving the rendered visual expression and the decorative properties of the timepiece dial.
[Other embodiments]
Although embodiments of the invention described above have not been given by way of examples, it will be understood that the possible embodiments for carrying out the invention are not limited to those of the above description, and it goes without saying that various variations can be envisaged without departing from the spirit of the invention and the wording of the claims in addition to the aforementioned embodiments.
[0051] The respective aforementioned embodiments can furthermore be suitably combined and used as required. For example, it is possible to more widely express the brightness and color tone of light emission from the outer part 14 in a dark place by combining the second embodiment and the fourth embodiment.
